At Rare Whiskey Merchant, we are committed to transparency and fairness. Due to the nature of alcoholic beverages and applicable regulations, our return policy is designed to comply with U.S. alcohol laws while ensuring customer satisfaction.


1. Return Eligibility

Product Condition

Returns are accepted only for unopened and unused products in their original packaging.

Return Window

Return requests must be submitted within 15 days of delivery.

Eligible Returns

You may request a return or replacement if:

  • The item was damaged during shipping

  • The wrong product was delivered

  • The product is defective upon arrival

Due to alcohol regulations, we cannot accept returns for products that have been opened or partially consumed.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Opened alcoholic beverages

  • Consumable products once opened

  • Custom or special-order items

  • Clearance or final-sale items

  • Digital goods


2. Return Procedure

To initiate a return:

  1. Email support@rarewhiskeymerchant.com

  2. Provide your order number and reason for return

  3. Include clear photos for damaged or incorrect items

  4. Wait for return approval and instructions

Returns sent without prior authorization may not be accepted.


3. Refund Process

Once your returned item is received and inspected:

  • You will be notified by email regarding approval status

  • Approved refunds are processed within 15 business days

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method

Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the error was due to our fulfillment mistake.


4. Exchanges

We offer replacements for:

  • Incorrect items received

  • Shipping damage

  • Verified manufacturing defects

Exchanges are subject to product availability and applicable state shipping laws.


5. Return Shipping Costs

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the item was damaged or incorrect.

  • If the issue resulted from our error, we will provide a prepaid return label where legally permitted.


6. Missing or Delayed Refunds

If your refund has not appeared:

  1. Check with your bank or credit card provider

  2. Allow standard processing times
