Old Overholt 12 Year Old Straight Rye Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Warm baking spices, toasted oak, leathery sweetness, and dark fruit tones layered over rye grain.
Palate: Rich and full-bodied with notes of cinnamon, clove, caramel, dried cherry, molasses, and seasoned oak. The extended aging delivers a rounded mouthfeel while preserving the brand’s trademark rye spice.
Finish: Long, warming, and spice-forward, with lingering oak, pepper, and subtle vanilla.
