The vodka is made from American corn by contract at the renowned Buffalo Trace Distillery. The label was first conceived in 2009 and officially came to market in 2011 in Tennessee. Hero Spirits, the owner of the brand, makes claim to the veteran owned spirit company in the world.
Heroes Vodka Tasting Notes
Nose: Beyond white peppery spirit notes lie subtle aniseed and notes reminiscent of rubber gym shoes.
Palate: Slightly greasy mouthfeel perhaps due to added glycerol. Black pepper spirity spice with grainy notes, charcoal and faint aniseed.
Finish: Lingering black pepper spice with charcoal and faint white bread crust.
Buffalo Trace Distillery is a distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, that is owned by the Sazerac Company. The company claims the distillery to be the oldest continuously operating distillery in the United States.
